Tonight, my sister and I  decided to have dinner at Tribu Gill, located at the Upper Ground Floor of Berkeley Square Bldg. in Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City. The very first Tribu branch, here in the Philippines.

Tribu Gill is originally from (San Francisco Bay Area)  San Bruno, California, USA. It's is owned by a Filipino Family residing in the states. It caters Filipino cuisine--and they are proud of it!

Finally, last July 2010, they've decided to bring it home, here in the Philippines. (Thanks Tribu!)

We ordered:

1 Petcho (chicken breast) Inasal Meal (w/ unlimited rice)
1 Paa (chicken thigh/leg) Inasal (not unlimited rice)
1 extra rice
2 Calamansi (Philippine Lemon) Slush
1 Bobo Chacha
(2 Free Soup)

Soup

The soup tasted like Beef Bulalo (beef bone marrow). The taste is just right for us. It is not too salty. The soup is not too hot--just right. The best part of it is--it's refillable! ^_^

Clamansi Slush

The drink is refreshing, although, for us, it is a bit too sweet. Just like the regular Calamansi concentrate you can buy in grocery stores. We order Calamansi juice or Lemonade for its sourness, not for the sugar content. Nevertheless, the drink is okay! ^_^

BTW, the ice is well crushed! ^_^

Price: Php 39.00 per order

Chicken Inasal (for both breast and thigh)

Yum! ^_^

One of the best chickens we've ever tasted. It is better than the other chicken inasal in town. Promise! The taste is original! Our entire meal was just like savoring mom's chicken inasal recipe and, just like our fave chicken inato restaurant in Puerto Princessa, Palawan -- Mang Inato.

I had to request 4 cups of rice! (I wanted more, but I remembered the modeling contest. What if I miraculously win--and suddenly, I'm much fatter O.o)

Anyway, the chicken is cooked just right. Not over cooked (charred too much) Nor under cooked (bloody inside).

Price: Php 99.00 per order (Petcho Meal w/ unlimited rice)
Php 79.00 pero order (Inasal Paa w/o rice)

Bobo Chacha

My sister, who is also in a strict diet, can't control the temptation. She just had to order dessert.
According to the staff, Bobo Chacha is Tribu's own version of Halo-Halo (Mix-Mix?? ^_^) It is composed of Crushed ice, Vanilla ice cream, Pinipig, Coconut Milk and Green Gelatin.

For dessert lovers like us, Bobo Chacha tasted ordinary (sorry). It tasted just like Vanilla Ice Cream. Plus, the ice (this time) was not crushed enough. Well, that's okay, because we dined there for the chicken and not for sweets.

Price: Php 40.00 per order
