As a grownup, it's now easier to eat and buy what ever food you like. But in my case - being an OC - it's even harder to eat outside (i.e. restaurants) especially, when I worry about proper kitchen sanitation and food handling. I find it best to eat home cooked meals.
That is why when our new cook arrived bearing her most remarkable pasta sauce recipe and ingredient, I was all over and buzzing about it. *wink*
The secret ingredient is....
Holiday Spaghetti Meat Sauce (or Hotdog Sauce). The only problem is, we are not entirely sure if you can buy this at our local grocery stores. As far as we know (correct me if I'm wrong) it is only available in areas like Cebu and Bacolod. The brand can't seem to fully penetrate Metro Manila. I wonder why?
But this I can assure you, just follow our ingredients/recipe and you'll have a jolly time eating your favorite pasta. And so will you kids! ^_^
The rest of our ingredients are as follows (see picture).
First, saute the garlic, onion and corned beef in almost half a stick of butter. (yum! ^_^). Then, pour in the 2 cans of Holiday Spaghetti Sauce.
Mix it a bit then add the Del Monte Spaghetti Sauce and the whole can of Carnation Evap. Mix it then add the Pre-cooked Pasta. Then mix it again until everything is even.
After that, transfer the mixture in a tin pan in preparation to be baked in the oven (350 deg). But since we do not have an oven, we used our Salad Master Electric Skillet which can be used to bake goods.
Before baking, top the pasta mixture with 1 pack of Nestle All Purpose Cream and 1 whole Quick Melt Cheese. Grated.
And the finished product is simply amazing. Rich and flavorful. But most importantly it will leave you buzzing with sweet childhood memories. *wink*
Enjoy! ^_^
