Yesterday, during our late Christmas visit to my uncle (dad's bro), Uncle Eddie gave us a bottle of wine. That time, we did not know what kind of wine it was; since it was gift wrapped. But when we got home, viola! ^_^
There's no doubt about it! This is probably the biggest bottle of wine I have ever seen. Call me ignorant, but I swear, I was wowed.
It's a 2 Liter bottle of Gaoji Red -- Chinese Wine (if there's such a thing...) Made by Yantaishi Qiwei Winery. I'm not sure about the brand though, and the taste/quality. We have not opened it yet...
It has 11% vol of alcohol content.
Other than that--I don't know anymore. Everything is in alien writing...^_^ We might open it tomorrow, mainly because of the expiration date. I was not aware that wines have expiration dates, I thought--the older they are, the better? Anyway, I believe manufacturers allot 2 to 3 months of allowance before the exact date of expiration. But just to be sure, we'll open it the soonest.... I'm excited. Or maybe we'll wait for my mom's brother-in-law (currently in HK Disney Land) who is a wine expert--we could have a wine tasting session.
Thank you Uncle Ed! I'm sure it will last us till Chinese New Year ^_^

Meron ganito binebenta sa amin. ok ba to? hindi ba peke?
Well, it's nothing compared to the more expensive and more popular brands. But it's ok, if you are not a picky drinker. It's also good for a big group/party. Drink moderately! ^_^
